Open Mic Night at the Bookstore w/ Mercy Rei Tanq

Join Mercy Rei Tanq for a safe and inclusive open mic night at Elk Grove's only bookstore!

Let's dim the lights and turn up the volume for Open Mic Night! Join us as a performer or attendee and cheer on your fellow artists. Play an instrument, sing a song, perform a dance, share your poetry or spoken word, or do a standup routine. You don't need to be an expert - A Seat at the Table Books is a community safe space and supportive environment for all. All experience levels welcome.

Because we are open to the public during open mic, families may be present. Please adjust content as needed.

About the host: Mercy Rei Tanq is a a queer trans woman. A poet, storyteller, artist, activist, force of nature, and an agent of chaos. She has lived and survived all over this country but currently calls Sacramento, CA home. She is also the Creator and Currator of both Write Club and The Queer Quorom
