Thursday, April 16th, 6-8pm

Bastet is an ancient Egyptian Cat Goddess worshipped for over 2,000 years. She’s associated with Sekhemet, The Lioness. They are protectors of home, women and children and shield against evil spirits and illness. April 16th was a festival of music, dance, fertility and joy, where women particularly celebrated freedom and honored the goddess. Bastet represents:

• Sacred Protection

• Fertility & childbirth

• Music, dance, and joy

• Freedom & Liberation

• Perfume and ointments

• Cat Reverence

Paint on glass bottles with fairy lights, canvas boards or masks! All ages welcome. No prior art experience needed. All supplies provided. Let’s celebrate the festival of Bastet!

What to expect:

Growth as an artist and intuitive.

Choose from painting on canvas or glass bottle

How to use acrylic paint on glass. Choose your colored bottle and fairy lights; Whatever you feel most drawn to.

All materials and reference provided but feel free to bring anything that inspires.

Intuitively choose healing colors.

A strengthened belief in yourself.

Communication and connection through art (It’s a powerful tool).

Raised consciousness of higher self through guided sensory meditation.

There are no rules in art. It’s all about self expression and letting it flow.

Take home a beautiful painted bottle with fairy lights to illuminate your world.

~Process~

I guide you through a sensory meditation to open your portal of creativity and higher self. Journey into the land of art, imagination and intuition. Find self discovery and visit your inner world.

I teach how to connect with your intuitive artist channeling colors and ideas. Learn to create with intention to shape and improve your reality.

Choose from different size, shape and colored glass bottles. Pick one that best resonates. Select from a trove of inspiring pictures for reference.

Envision your palette. Think about what colors you need to paint into your world. Embrace colors you intuitively feel drawn to.

I teach composition, technique and how to create texture. The beauty of bottle painting is there are many ways to tell a story.

Drop your colored fairy lights into your painted bottle at the end to see two perspectives: Your creation with and without illumination.

Group class critique: It’s uplifting to make observations about other artists’ work and see different expressions. It’s helpful to experience your work in context and contrast to others and to feel that connection.
