Participants will learn to identify these traits using Elaine Aron’s HSP scale, understand their connection to C-PTSD, and explore resources to support client self-awareness and healing. The training also introduces practical tools to help clients understand and regulate their nervous system (fight, flight, freeze), use Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) for emotional release, and develop energetic boundaries to reduce overwhelm and build resilience. Provider Name: Lotus Consulting, PLLCDelivery Format: Live Interactive Synchronous Webinar via ZoomCE Credit: 1.5Cost: FreeTarget Audience:Licensed clinicians, therapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, and mental health professionals working with trauma survivors.Target Audience:Licensed clinicians, therapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, and mental health professionals working with trauma survivors.Learning Objectives:By the end of this course, participants will be able to:<ul><li>Differentiate between Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs) and Empaths, including identifying at least three distinguishing characteristics of each. </li><li>Administer and interpret the HSP scale and identify at least two key indicators of high sensitivity in clients. </li><li>Explain the connection between high sensitivity and C-PTSD, including at least two ways this understanding can support client insight and healing. </li><li>Demonstrate at least two nervous system regulation techniques (e.g., grounding, EFT, or boundary-setting strategies) appropriate for clients experiencing fight, flight, or freeze responses</li></ul>About the Instructor:Selene Negrette, LMSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience supporting adults and adolescents through grief, bereavement, and trauma, including her work with Hospice of Ann Arbor. She specializes in women’s issues, pregnancy and newborn loss, anxiety, depression, and relationship and family concerns. Selene helps clients who feel stuck, struggle with low self-esteem, or have difficulty managing emotions and forming fulfilling relationships. Her approach focuses on deep self-understanding, empowering individuals to shift limiting beliefs, build confidence, and move from surviving to thriving. She incorporates modalities such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) for emotional and trauma release and offers therapy in both English and Spanish.
