Phoenix Art Deco Society President, Erin Lindsey, dives into what defined the Art Deco movement and how it influenced fashion in the 1920s and 1930s.
Learn about how le style modern emerged after WW1 and transformed through the women’s liberation movement, The Great Depression, rapid technological advancements, mass media, prohibition and more as it impacted the world of women’s fashion. Dissect some of the Jazz Age’s most memorable garments, the designers and the women who popularized them.
This special Sunday event will be held in the museum’s Community Room and light refreshments will be provided.
Doors open at 11am, presentation begins at 11:30am.
