Intro to Video Editing with DaVinci Resolve

Turn raw footage into great videos with the free, professional-grade tools in DaVinci Resolve.

This hands-on course will teach you the fundamentals of video editing; from cutting clips to adding transitions, audio adjustments, and basic color grading. Perfect for beginners, you’ll leave with the skills to edit polished videos for social media, YouTube, or personal projects.

In the first session, you’ll learn how to import footage, make clean cuts, and assemble a video. Between classes, practice with a fun editing assignment. The second session dives into audio tweaks, speed adjustments, and simple color correction so you can make your videos look and sound great. By the end, you’ll have a finished project and the confidence to keep editing!

Prerequisites: Students should already have a computer with DaVinci Resolve (free version) installed. No prior editing experience needed, but basic computer skills are necessary.
