School of Ballroom & Latin DanceBallroom~Latin~Swing~HustleOpened in 1976 by Bart Ferko, the Dance Scene studio tucked behind the Shopper’s Mall at 10 Mile and Van Dyke has been providing a place for Center Line Area people to express themselves through dance for over 40 years.Anna Sobiechart is now the Owner of The Dance Scene. She was Bart’s fellow teacher for 27 years and is an accomplished dancer from Poland. Anna is an excellent instructor who loves to teach all skill levels.The studio hosts private dance lessons every week, plus group lessons and several parties and events. Private lessons, group lessons, and dance parties are open to the public. All ages are welcome.The Dance Scene’s mission is to enrich lives by building confidence, encouraging wellness and providing opportunities for connection through dance.

INTL. WALTZ (BEGINNERS- INTERMEDIATE)- 6 WEEK COURSE (group class)

The Dance Scene

International WALTZ I (BEG-INT COURSE) Group Class – 6 WeeksTUESDAYS at 7pm – commencing on TUESDAY, APRIL 21st, 20266 consecutive Tuesdays at 7pm (last session on APRIL 14th)Cost:$89 per Person for 6 Weeks (1 person)$178 per Person for 6 Weeks (couple)👞👠 Shoes/Clothing - clothing should comfortable and suitable for dancing/moving; please bring a change of clean/dry shoes (not worn outside); if you don't have dance shoes yet, dress shoes are best; typical tennis shoes are worst (they stick to the dance floor and prevent your feet from pivoting/turning).CLASS LEVEL (BEGINNING):We will teach technique, fundamental steps and all the essentials for beginning WALTZ. A partner is not required, we regularly rotate students during the class. Prior Ballroom (Smooth/Standard) experience is helpful for this class.--------Waltz is a smooth progressive dance characterized by long, flowing movements, continuous turns, and rise &amp; fall. Graceful and elegant, Waltz dancers glide around the floor almost effortlessly. At 28-30 measures per minute, the tempo is slow at best, but the expressive quality of the music often invites very powerful and dynamic movement from dancers. <h2> </h2>
