Scholarly Identity and Research Metrics: An Introduction
Learn to manage your scholarly identity and demonstrate the impact of your research and career.
Managing your scholarly identity is the first step toward demonstrating the impact of your academic work, including research, teaching, interests, or anything else relevant to your career. From there you can begin to explore ways to capture impact and tell your story. In this session, we will register and review an author profile and learn the basics of research evaluation metrics.
This workshop is intended for Northwestern University students, staff, and faculty. This workshop will be presented in a hybrid format: online via Zoom, and in person at the University Library.
The workshop is led by Jamie Carlstone, Authority Metadata Librarian; and Gina Petersen, Assessment Librarian.
Northwestern University is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for all events and programs. Accommodations such as sign language interpreters and accessible presentation materials in alternate formats are provided upon request. Please contact Anne Sticksel at amsticksel@northwestern.edu or 847-491-2922 by Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Every reasonable effort will be made to implement accommodations in an effective and timely manner.
