Art, books, and big dreams – all in one morning!

FREE EVENT! Join us for Brushes and Bright Minds, a free youth paint-and-story event at the National First Ladies Library & Museum – First Ladies Park.

Young artists will paint their favorite characters while listening to stories read aloud by author Valerie Thompkins, creating a truly one-of-a-kind creative experience.

All materials are provided, including:

● Canvas & paint

● A complimentary book for each child

● Refreshments

Come ready to create, imagine, and explore your dreams!

Meet Valerie Thompkins:
Valerie is the author of “Girls Like Me” and “Boys Like Me”, celebrating children of all backgrounds as confident, capable main characters. A finance professional, speaker, and mentor, Valerie inspires curiosity about STEM, careers, and big dreams through literature. Born and raised in Canton, OH, she now resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
