Venue: Maysles Doc. Center, 343 Lenox Ave. (cor. 127 St & Lenox Ave.)

A collaborative workshop on how filmmakers can adapt, evolve, and thrive in a rapidly changing creative landscape.

The Art of the Pivot is an interactive workshop that explores how filmmakers can evolve alongside shifting technologies, platforms, and audiences. Together, we’ll unpack what it means to create in a world shaped by AI, immersive media, and new distribution models—while staying grounded in story, voice, and purpose.

This session is not about rigid rules or technical mastery. It’s about reframing how you see yourself as a filmmaker, as a storyteller, a collaborator, and a creative entrepreneur.

This is an open space to reflect, share, and rethink what’s possible.

Workshop participants can enjoy an afternoon of films. Registration includes our film showcase as a gift (4 pm-7:30 pm)! Seats are limited so let us know if you plan to stay.
