Overview

Come celebrate Bike Month and Walk and Roll Bellingham with a special event featuring author Heidi Beierle!

During summer 2010, Heidi pedaled solo from Eugene, OR, to Washington, DC to a historic roads conference. Navigating mountains, prairies, and intense heat, she met kind strangers who changed the way she saw America and herself. A memoir of homecoming, Heidi Across America is a love letter to America and the tender heart within.

Heidi Beierle is an author, artist, slow traveler, and creepy crawly lover. Her work has been published in National Geographic Traveler, High Desert Journal, VoiceCatcher Journal, and Journal of America's Byways. Learn more on Heidi's Facebook page.

Walk and Roll Bellingham's mission, as Bellingham's only pedestrian and bicycle advocacy organization, is to create safer, healthier, and more livable communities by improving and expanding our active transportation system to be used safely by people of all ages and abilities. Walk and Roll Bellingham envisions a future where everyone in Bellingham can comfortably walk, pedal, and roll anywhere they want to go.
