About the Program

What is it and who’s organizing it?

The Public-Interest AI Accelerator Program is a 9-session learning opportunity combining leading-edge expertise in public interest AI and collaborative, hands-on skills building for those interested in leveraging AI for the public good in their studies, work or future projects.

The project is a partnership of UPF-Barcelona School of Management, Sandbox Labs, and Norrsken House Barcelona.

What does an Accelerator session look like?

The program includes 7 learning sessions, 1 visit of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and 1 final public-interest AI project showcase & networking event. All sessions are in person.

Each learning session is in person and includes presentations from local and global experts and practitioners (learn about them below), a facilitated workshop with a small group of peer learners, and networking with speakers and peers. Refreshments are provided.

When and where is it?

Sessions are held on Thursdays from 4-7pm, from 9 April to 4 June.

Most sessions will be at Norrsken House Barcelona, with 1 session at UPF-BSM and 1 session at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

Who is this for and how can I participate?

Any learner interested in AI and its publicly valuable applications is welcome to join.

There are two options to participate: to benefit from the full learning experience and earn a microcredential, apply directly through the UPF-BSM system here.

If you are interested in attending individual sessions, register below to secure one of the few open registration spots.

Spaces for both options are limited.
