In this role, he plays a critical part in supporting the Chief’s administration and advancing key initiatives that impact governance, economic development, and tribal operations.Since stepping into leadership, Harjo has been instrumental in helping guide the Nation through a period of significant growth and transformation following the landmark McGirt decision, helping expand the Nation’s jurisdictional reach and strengthen its governmental infrastructure.His work focuses on building systems that operationalize tribal sovereignty—developing policies, infrastructure, and economic strategies that create long-term opportunity for Muscogee citizens and the broader business community.Harjo brings a unique combination of legal, policy, financial, and economic development expertise, with direct oversight and involvement in areas such as:<ul><li>Tribal planning and grants</li><li>Economic development initiatives</li><li>Procurement and contracting pathways</li><li>Programs like CESO (Contracting &amp; Employment Support Office) and collaboration with TERO programs that drive Native workforce participation and business opportunity</li></ul>As a Muscogee citizen, his leadership is grounded in strengthening sovereignty while creating real, scalable economic opportunity across Indian Country
