Join us at Copperbridge Foundation for a special screening of Purvis of Overtown, a documentary exploring the life and work of artist Purvis Young and his deep connection to Overtown and South Florida’s cultural landscape.Presented as part of our Spring Program: Art, Cinema &amp; Community, and in dialogue with the exhibition No Seasoning, this evening invites audiences to reflect on artistic expression as a response to place, lived experience, and cultural memory.Purvis Young transformed the streets of Overtown into a powerful visual language—one that speaks to resilience, identity, and the urgency of creation outside traditional frameworks.
