It's time to get paid for your work, and Mr. Yahu will show you exactly how!

Picture this: You have a GREAT idea for a picture book, and you're wondering if you can get your book traditionally published. Great news! You can! Join traditionally published author Yaram Yahu as he discusses publishing tips on how to WOW editors and literary agents with your picture book. In this course, you will learn the ins and outs of how to write a killer query letter (and what a query letter is), how to study publishing and market trends, what literary agents are looking for, how to sign with a literary agent, and how to eventually sell your book to an editor. You will also utilize helpful tools such as Publishing Marketplace, Manuscript Wishlist, and other useful resources that will help you stand out in the slush pile.

General admission for the workshop is $35.00. General admission plus My Afro is a Rising Sun is $50.00.

Yaram Yahu is a native Chicagoan who studied at Emerson College's writing, literature, and publishing program.His debut picture book, MY AFRO IS A RISING SUN, was released in December 2024 by Running Press Kids, an imprint of Hachette Book Group. Mr. Yahu has over ten years' experience as a professional author, screenwriter, ghostwriter, and editor. You can also find him traveling the world and exploring new parks.
