Breathwork for Recovery
Get ready to boost your recovery game! Attend this session on breathwork and meditation focused on deep relaxation and mind/body connection.
As active adults we focus on being our healthiest selves... but how often are you focused on your rest & recovery?
Join us at local gym, Real Fitness for:
- Education on the importance of breathwork for both mind and body
- Hands-on learning and demonstrations around the benefits of active vs relaxing breathing techniques
- 30-minute relaxing breathing sequence and guided meditation at the end of class
$25 to attend and suitable for all levels of experience. 13+ with a parent.
Open to existing members of the gym and non-members. Non-members will receieve a free week at Real Fitness to try out the gym after registering for class.
Class is capped at 16 people. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early for parking and to settle into your spot in the gym before class starts.
Please bring your own yoga mat, journal (optional for notes). Yoga mats may be borrowed from the studio as well. Wear comfortable clothes for active breathwork exercises and to lay down in for the guided meditation at the end of class.
This class is taught by breathwork and meditation guide, Jane Messersmith. She has over 100 hours of teaching under her belt in corporate, group, and 1:1 settings. Jane grew up playing softball and reaching D1 college level play. As an adult she strives to continue being athletic and pain-free. These goals influence classes like these. When she is not teaching you can find her spending as much time in nature with her dog and husband.
