What the Fund?! An Intro to Investing

"I should probably invest, but it's so confusing. I don't want to lose all of my money!" If this sounds familiar, this workshop is for you.

In this beginner-level virtual workshop, we'll cover all of the basics of the who, what, where, when, why and hows of investing. This stuff is confusing and intimidating BY DESIGN to keep you on the sidelines OR so you hire someone else to manage it for you. Not anymore! My goal is to simplify it and help you feel empowered to build wealth on your own because I know you can.

Please note that the event takes place at 390 Social in a room that is down 1 flight of stairs.

This workshop will cover topics like:

• What scares us or excites us about investing
• Types of investment accounts and how to open them
• Who should invest, and when
• Types of funds to invest in to keep it low maintenance and simple
• Compound interest (and why the finance bros won't shut up about it)
• Financial Advisors, their fee structures, and why you probably don't need one to start investing

The workshop will run for 2 hours from 7-9pm. Doors will open at 6:45!
