PPIM Virtual: Flowers of Romance Memories w/ Martin Atkins
Join Martin as he explores his memories of the making of Flowers of Romance, and the impacts it's had over the last 4.5 decades!
EVENT DETAILS:
From Martin:
It’s almost 45 years ago that I was asked to rejoin PiL to work on what would become The Flowers Of Romance album. These deep dives into iconic moments are emotionally fueling for me, and the stories that they precipitate are so rewarding. Did you know that Flowers was on Kurt Cobain’s top 50 albums list? I can’t describe seeing the name of the album in his own scratch handwriting.
Come hang out online as Martin shares memories and stories of the making of the album, and the many impacts and connections that would develop in the years to come.
"Hailed as a defiant tour de force, a pivotal forerunner of techno and industrial music, one that set the bar for post-punk, and all of “uneasy listening” to come."
