Discover how this craft wove itself into history, shaped popular culture, and found its place in public history. With Prof Georgina Laragy, this is the fourth of our "Talk with Trinity" public talk series featuring academics from Trinity College Dublin.45 minute presentation followed by time for questions and discussion. Georgina is Dublin Cemeteries Trust Assistant Professor in Public History and Cultural Heritage at the School of History in Trinity College Dublin. Her work focuses largely on social history, in particular the history of suicide, death and poverty in nineteenth and twentieth century Ireland.Informal format, all welcome. Unit18 is Trinity College's space for civic engagement on our Trinity East campus. Pedestrian entrance on Macken Street.
