Featuring Edwin Colón-Zayas, cuatro puertorriqueño, joined by the warm sensual voice of Bay Area Boricua Madeleine Zayas, and top Bay Area musicians Román "Ito" Carrillo on drums, and Brian Rice on brazilian pandeiro and drumset.
The concert will be a serenata of tropical string music from the mountains of Puerto Rico (música jíbara) and the mountains of Brazil (choro music), as well as samba and Latin-American classics. The concert will also feature selected tunes from the artists latest cd’s, including Colón-Zayas and Saavedra’s latest cd titled Saudade.
