The PITC PARS Instrument Training provides a detailed orientation to the PITC PARS. This highly-interactive 7-hour live virtual training facilitates an exploration of the content and uses of the <a href="https://www.wested.org/resource/pitc-pars-instrument/" title="https://www.wested.org/resource/pitc-pars-instrument/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PITC PARS Instrument</a>, including strategies for understanding quality indicators in infant and toddler group care—from caregiving interactions to the physical environment to program policies and administrative structures. Through active engagement, this session is designed to build and support the capacity for reflecting on high-quality infant and toddler care.Goals for the training:<ol><li>Participants will reflect on key questions regarding essential aspects of quality infant and toddler care from the perspectives of babies, their families, communities, and educators.</li><li>Participants will learn about key indicators of infant and toddler care quality and strategies for evaluating these indicators using the <a href="https://www.wested.org/resource/pitc-pars-instrument/" title="https://www.wested.org/resource/pitc-pars-instrument/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PITC PARS Instrument</a>.</li><li>Participants will practice strategies for reflecting on quality, which they can immediately implement to continue to refine their infant and toddler practice.</li></ol>Each registered participant will receive a copy of the <a href="https://www.wested.org/resource/pitc-pars-instrument/" title="https://www.wested.org/resource/pitc-pars-instrument/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PITC PARS Instrument</a> in the language of the training (English, Spanish, or Chinese) and detailed information on using the tool to support self-reflection and coaching in infant and toddler group care settings. This training is a prerequisite for the PITC PARS Subscale Guide Two-Day Training and Reliability Training.
