Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter| Park City, Utah
This Watershed Investigations course is a partnership with Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter. The field course runs from 8 AM to 4 PM each day, starting Thursday, July 9th, and ending Saturday, July 11th. It is based at Swaner EcoCenter with day trips to the Uinta Mountains, Swaner's wetland preserve, and the Great Salt Lake.
You will have access to the Watershed Investigations online class 8 weeks before the start of the field course.
Completion of the 16-hour online class is REQUIRED before attending the field course.

From alpine lakes and streams to the Great Salt Lake and meandering rivers to ephemeral wetlands, Utah has a diversity of aquatic systems that interact within watersheds.
- You will learn about how these types of waterways interact within a local watershed, and experience a selection of these habitats firsthand.
Utah's aquatic and wetland ecosystems are filled with robust ecological communities that are well-adapted to wet, ephemeral, or saline environments.
- You will learn how to evaluate a watershed's health using water chemistry assessments and by surveying aquatic life.
