Event Description: 16 Hour CPO Certified – DOH approved course for Commercial Pools; Certification Valid for 5 years.

Course Description: Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) Training Program is the world's most recognized pool and spa training program. It is required for pool operators that are open to the public.


Learning Outcomes:

1. Discuss drowning prevention, recreational water illness, suction entrapment, evisceration, diving accidents, electrocutions, chemical hazards, and slips and falls.

2. Explain regulatory guidelines.

3. Analyze disinfection and water balance.

4. Discuss troubleshooting, chemical testing, and record keeping.

5. Discuss chemical feed systems, and automation.


CEUs Awarded: CILB - 8 hours GEN; 1 hours WPS; 1 BP IACET – 1.6 CEUs

Two Course Options available:

  • Classroom Course: This is a 16-hour, two-day program taught by a certified instructor.
  • Blended Format: This hybrid option allows you to take the online CPO Fusion course and a one-day, in-person class of instruction (which can also be taken as a stand-alone refresher course). Total of 16 hours. The student MUST Register at least 2 weeks in advance of the in-classroom Day 2 date of the classroom course.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Participants who do not submit notification twenty-four hours prior to the start of a learning event are ineligible for a refund of registration/course fees.
