Performance sets run for 50-60 minutes each. Each student or group class is allotted a 2-minute performance slot. Please arrive 15 minutes before the recital start time for check-in, ensuring you have ample time for parking and other arrangements. Formal dress is required for the event.

How do I select what to sign up for & what does the Performance Fee Include?

You can check which set your teacher is assigned to or choose any set that fits your schedule for Recital Weekend. Sign up using the performer’s name and pay a performance fee of $40 per performer. Each performance fee covers entry for 4 guests per performer.

What's the process for selecting a recital time?

It's Easy to Sign Up! Simply select a Recital Time that works for you. Each Recital Set indicates which of our Faculty Team Teachers will be at each set to assist you.

How should I come prepared?

Rest assured, we've got you covered! Bring your sheet music if needed. Any mp3s for your performance should be downloaded by your  Teacher for our sound team in your Google Drive Folder before the event. No memorization pressure! Bring your instrument and accessories; we'll provide the rest.

Where will I Park?

There is ample Parking Available surrounding the Palace Theatre.
Free Lots: Behind the theater (via Franklin/Jenkins St.), City Hall lot (1209 S Main St.), and the Train Depot parking garage (Dallas Rd & Main St).
Street Parking: Available on Main St. and nearby streets.
Arrive early for best spots!

How does the performance support growth and success for all students?

All students, regardless of age or experience level, are encouraged to participate in our Recitals!! It's a chance to embrace new challenges, push boundaries, and shine on stage. With support from family, friends, and our dedicated faculty, everyone can achieve their performance goals.

What options are available if your preferred teacher's schedule is already booked?

If your teacher's schedule is full, don't worry! You can choose another time slot. Our dedicated staff will be at every recital to support you. Your regular teacher will prepare you using our shared resources, ensuring you're ready for your performance!

If I'm new to lessons, can I perform?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! You definitely should. It's a fantastic chance to perform in a magical recital experience. You might never feel completely "ready" to perform, but each time you do, you gain valuable experience. Everyone has a first time, so take that first step - let us guide you through the experience!

What options for families w/ siblings attending different classes/students taking multiple classes?

We know some of you may have siblings attending with different teachers or students taking multiple classes. Here's what you can do: choose two different time slots or stick to one. Each student will have 2 minutes per class. (Group classes will have one 2-minute slot.)

Reserve a private recital during your regular JULY lesson at any Creative Soul location at 3 of our Creative Soul Locations that have Stage Venues.
Showcase to family and friends via Zoom during your lesson.
Prepare for upcoming Winter Recitals in January 2027 - Sign-up opens Oct 12th!

What if I become unable to attend the event after purchase?

Accepted Answer

If you can't make it, no problem. Feel free to gift your Guest Entry to family or friends. Performance fees / tickets are non-refundable once purchased.

How can you optimize your piece for success?

Accepted Answer

Our teachers will guide you to adapt your piece to fit the 2-minute slot. You'll have 2 min on stage, including setup / breakdown time. To ensure everyone gets a chance to perform, streamline your piece to your favorite parts to ensure success. We're committed to the best experience for your family!

How do I Sign Up with multiple students in a class (e.g., Group Class, Semi-Private, Add A Parent)

Accepted Answer

Students enrolled in our Group Classes, like Bands or Lil' Soul classes, already have a designated Recital Slot and set time. If you're in a group class, just refer to the set list below to find your assigned performance time based on the slots designated by our teacher.

Where can we find wheelchair accessibility at the event?

Accepted Answer

There is wheel-chair accessible ramps throughout the venue. When in doubt, ask someone from your group to find our Check-In Table, where they can assist you with access.

Can adults perform at the Recital?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.  This is a recital for adults, family and all ages.  We are celebrating confidence and growth for all our students at every stage of their musical journey.    Air Guitarists and Shower Singers Included!!!
