Leadville Trail Marathon and Heavy Half Camping at CMC

Colorado Mountain College is pleased to host racers for the 2026 Leadville Race Series Trail Marathon and Heavy Half at our community campground. Campers will get a 20ftx20ft camping space on our field. Bathrooms, showers, and internet will be available. The $125 fee will go directly to Colorado Mountain College's cross country and track teams. Please check-in at the green gate by the multi-purpose field.

Some quick rules:

1. Showers are available for 20 mins. There is a sign up list for you to choose a time when you check-in.

2. There are restrooms. Please use them and not the forest.

3. Fires, flames, or stoves are not permitted at your campsite. Flames inside a vehicle or hot plates are allowed. Cooking with stoves or flames can be done in the parking lot or at our beautiful gazebo. No camp fires are allowed on campus.

4. No drinking of alcohol or use of marijuana products is allowed anywhere on campus. Please refrain from using while on campus.

5. Smoking of tobacco products is allowed only in our designated smoking shacks.

6. Be bear aware: please do not throw trash out on the field or store food in your tents. We have bear proof trash cans.

7. Quiet hours are from 10PM-6AM. Please be respectful of your racers!

8. Friendly pets are welcome, but must be contained to your camping spot. Please clean up after your pet.

9. Internet is available near our building or inside our library.

10. Check-in starts after 4PM on Thursday. No early check-in is available.

11. Please check-out before 12PM on Sunday.
