Dyslexia Simulation with Everstone @ Alcuin! (formerly Redwood @ Alcuin)
Join Everstone @ Alcuin for a student panel + immersive dyslexia simulation. Build empathy and gain tools to better support student success.
Join us at Everstone @ Alcuin Montessori (formerly Redwood @ Alcuin) for a dyslexia simulation presented by Lauren Brown, Director of Literacy Instruction at Everstone Academy.
The event will begin with a panel of current students, offering a unique opportunity to hear directly about the impact this specialized intervention and programming can have on a child’s life. Following the panel, participants will take part in an immersive dyslexia simulation.
This engaging experience is designed to deepen understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with dyslexia. Through interactive activities that mirror the difficulties of reading, writing, and processing information, attendees will gain firsthand insight into students’ daily experiences.
Guided reflection and discussion will help participants build empathy, adapt instructional practices, and foster more inclusive learning environments. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with actionable strategies and a renewed commitment to supporting students with dyslexia.
This simulation is ideal for parents, educators, administrators, support staff, and anyone interested in better understanding dyslexia and helping students succeed.
