CTE Regional Meetings - Canada College

Formed in 1970, the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization. Created for the promotion and advancement of public community college education in California, its general purposes are:To strengthen local academic senates and councils of community colleges;To serve as the voice of the faculty of the community colleges in matters of statewide concern;To develop policies and promote the implementation of policies on matters of statewide issues;To make recommendations on statewide matters affecting the community colleges.The Academic Senate gets its authority to strengthen local senates on California community colleges statewide from the California Code of Regulations Title 5 Section 53206, which says:(a) An Academic Senate for the California Community Colleges has been established through ratification by local academic senates or faculty councils so that the community college faculty of California may have a formal and effective procedure for participating in the formation of state policies on academic and professional matters.(b) The Board of Governors recognizes the Academic Senate of the California Community Colleges as the representative of community college academic senates or faculty councils before the Board of Governors and Chancellor's Office.

All roads lead to workforce. Career Technical Education (CTE) is a unique part of the mission of the California Community Colleges. Many CTE fields are rapidly evolving, challenging faculty to keep up with the latest trends to prepare students to meet unmet workforce needs. Take a day to slow down and come discuss emerging CTE needs, challenges, triumphs, with colleagues in your region and the ASCCC CTE Leadership Committee. Everyone is welcome at these free events.Where: Canada College, Meeting Room: 6-101 and 6-102 When: April 18, 2026Registration: ComplimentaryRegistration/Cancellation Deadline: April 10, 2026Please only submit one ticket type! This event will be in person only and will take place on the campus.Registration will end April 10, 2026. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to events@asccc.org on or before the posted date. No shows or cancellations after the deadline will be billed $25. If you are unable to attend please email events@asccc.org before the cancellation deadline. Cancellations must be received in writing.The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?All attendee registrations must match the ticket. If you would like to transfer your registration, you must cancel the first one, then register the second attendee online.
