Thursday, May 7 at 9 AM: Moms Who Move BKLYN, a breakfast and panel celebrating the impact of mothers across Brooklyn’s communities, businesses, and civic life.
Moderated by award-winning journalist and speaker Grace Bastidas, the panel will gather change maker moms for a conversation about Motherhood In Brooklyn: how moms are driving new ideas, navigating challenges, and taking the lead in shaping the borough’s diverse communities.

Monuments to Motherhood is a series of sculptures by artist Molly Gochman representing her long-held vision to portray the enduring support provided by caregivers across generations. These large-scale outdoor sculptures invite viewers to immerse themselves in the tactile and interlaced forms, encouraging reflection and engagement with themes of labor, domesticity, care, community, and play.
City Point — a 1.8 million-square-foot retail, entertainment, residential, and office complex in Downtown Brooklyn — anchors the neighborhood’s rapid growth, drawing locals and visitors to its mix of destinations including DeKalb Market Hall, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Court 16, lululemon, McNally Jackson, Sephora, and Primark.
