Birds of Southern NH Garden Walk
Bring your binoculars to Bedrock Gardens for a program with Scott Santino of the Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats Education Center.
Join a leisurely walk around Bedrock Gardens and learn about bird migration, breeding behavior, and field identification. Observe birds in their colorful spring plumage and learn how to identify birds by their songs. Bring binoculars if you have them (we'll also bring extra pairs). Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and uneven trails.
Scott Santino (he/him) is an Education Programs Manager and has been leading nature education programs for Mass Audubon since 1999. He is the coordinator and a faculty member of the Birder’s Certificate Program, a college level ornithology class. He has led trips throughout New England and beyond, including Big Bend, Texas; Southern Florida; South Carolina; New Mexico; and Southeast Arizona.
Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. Founded in 1896 by two women who fought for the protection of birds, Mass Audubon carries on their legacy by focusing on the greatest challenges facing the environment today: the loss of biodiversity, inequitable access to nature, and climate change. Its Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport offers a wide variety of adult and family educational programs.
