STEAM & Trades Academy: Hair Care Edition
Learn the basic skills needed to enter the hair care/cosmetology industry with Tela of Loysteen Genes!
Youth & teens ages 12-18 are invited to join us to engage in 4 weeks (4/4, 4/11, 4/18 & 4/25) of interactive workshops that will enhance their overall Hair Care skills.
We are pleased to be able to offer youth another interactive academy that engages teens in hands-on learning of the basics needed to become a hair care specialist in today's cosmetology industry.
In order to participate, we ask that each participant commit to attend all 4 Saturdays in order to ensure they gain the basic skills necessary to feel more comfortable implementing the skills in different settings. The participants will have access to hair care products and supplies like combs, brushes, clips, gel, oil, foams, mannequins, blow dryers and curlers, which may cause burns or irritation.
In order to attend, a parent will have to agree to our 2 waivers:
-Pictures & videos will be taken during our STEAM & Trades Academy- Hair Care Edition. In order for your child to participate, you must agree to our photography/videography waiver: I understand that The Brown House Experience, Loysteen Genes and TBHE affiliates may use the images in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.
-The STEAM & Trades Academy- Hair Care Edition will be interactive, which includes using certain hair care supplies and products. In order to participate, you must agree to the following waiver: I waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my child's death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to my child including traveling to and from the TBHE STEAM & Trades Academy: Hair Care Edition.
