Join GenerationDMV for a powerful virtual check-in, “Protecting the Protector: Stress Management and Mental Health for Men.” This conversation will focus on the unique pressures men face and how stress can impact mental health, relationships, and overall well-being.
This session will create a safe and supportive space to talk openly about stress, emotional health, and the importance of prioritizing self-care. Together, we’ll explore practical tools, coping strategies, and the role of community in helping men manage stress while maintaining their mental wellness.
This conversation will be hosted in partnership with Core Therapy & Healing (formerly Core Psychotherapy LCSW, PLLC), a practice that provides individual and family therapy for clients ages 14–40. Core Therapy & Healing specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and grief, and is committed to creating safe and supportive spaces for healing and personal growth. In addition to therapy services, Core offers culturally informed workshops, speaking engagements, and herbal wellness products that support a holistic approach to mental health.
This event is part of GenerationDMV’s Black Men & Mental Health Check-In Series, an initiative dedicated to breaking stigma, encouraging honest dialogue, and supporting mental health in our communities.
