Intro to Irish Sean Nós Dance  with Edwina Guckian (Beginners Welcome!)

Founded in 2025, our purpose is to preserve, promote and pass on the living traditions of Irish music, dance, language, storytelling and the broader arts across Greater Boston. Our principal event is Tunes on the Charles, held at the end of April each year. We serve as a cultural bridge--connecting local communities to global Irish arts networks. Through education, performance, archival collaboration, and artistic exchange we nurture an inclusive and intergenerational space where heritage and innovation thrive together within the tradition. We aim to build not only a platform for cultural celebration but also a lasting network of relationships that strengthen Irish identity, creativity, and community across the diaspora.

<p>An easy paced introduction to Sean Nós Dance with Edwina Guckian. Participants will learn the base rhythms, movements and story of this traditional dance form. A fun introduction for anyone curious about this dance form, and a great refresher for those who have tried it before but would like to build confidence. Low-heeled, leather-soled shoes are ideal, but shoes with a hard rubber sole can also work.</p>
