TITE workshop: Improvised Filmmaking with Henry Hanson

DOG MOVIE director delivers an interactive workshop demonstrating methods behind his award-winning no budget improvised debut feature.

After winning the TITE 2025 Audience Award for Best Feature for his debut feature Dog Movie, Henry Hanson returns to Dublin with his brand new barnstorming feature Puppygirl and an interactive improved filmmaking workshop.

Henry draws inspiration from a wide range of sources including Viola Spolin’s actor training system, Hong Sang-Soo’s production methods, the Dogme 95 manifesto, his formal training in improv comedy and film production, and his eclectic experiences as an indie film professional and community organizer.

Participants will warm up with acting exercises before jumping into the creation of a brand new improvised movie scene.

No particular kind of experience is necessary, but participants will get the most out of this workshop if they are willing to get their hands dirty and try something new.
