Each year the Texas Exes transforms the lives of new Longhorns at Camp Texas. Camp Texas campers spend three days and two nights at Camp Buckner, located in the Texas Hill Country. Not only will incoming students enjoy a classic summer camp experience—with games, swimming, fun activities, and more—campers will make lasting connections with other students, professors, and UT administrators.
Our outstanding counselors provide peer-to-peer guidance to help navigate from uncertainty and unknowns to connections and success on the Forty Acres. Students who attend Camp Texas consistently become campus leaders who have fulfilling experiences at UT.
What to expect:
- Interactions with some of UT's best faculty in a casual setting.
- Outstanding student counselors who help new students get involved and find their way.
- Leave Camp Texas with a clear plan for how to succeed at UT.
CAMP TEXAS DATES:
- Session 1: Aug 2 – Aug 4
- Session 2: Aug 4 – Aug 6
- Session 3: Aug 6 – Aug 8
Camp Texas registration includes: seven meals, transportation to-and-from campus and the retreat site, a Texas Exes membership, and a burnt-orange Camp Texas T-shirt.
Your Camp Texas registration comes with a $25 Student Annual membership. You can upgrade to a Student Life Membership and 100% of your dues will be applied as a credit to your Life Membership at graduation! Plus, Four Year Student Life members save $50 on their UT Class Ring!
