KNOT your average plant holder - Beginner Macrame

Join us for a relaxed evening of learning a new skill and making something beautiful with your hands.

Macramé is the art of knotting cord to create decorative and functional pieces. It’s simple, rhythmic, and surprisingly meditative—perfect for slowing down and spending a creative evening with your hands.

In this class, you’ll learn a few foundational macramé knots while creating your own mini wall plant holder, perfectly sized for a small terracotta pot. It’s a charming project that can brighten a kitchen wall, window, or cozy corner of your home.

We’re adding a fun twist by using T-shirt yarn—giving old shirts a new life as soft, sturdy crafting material and turning everyday textiles into something useful and beautiful.

All materials are provided, including the T-shirt cord, dowel or stick, and a small terracotta pot—just add your favorite little plant when you get home. Tea will also be available while you craft and connect with other creative members of the community.

What does my ticket include?

This ticket includes your attendence to this 2-hour, instructor-led workshop, all necessary materials, and take-home information to continue crafting at home. You will also be given a free pass to visit the farm again during open hours!

Can children participate in this class?

This class is intended for adults. Keenly interested children over the age of 13 may participate, but need their own ticket and must be accompanied by an adult.

• Programs run rain or shine. Dress for the weather if your program takes you outside!
• No ticket refunds within 2 weeks of the program except in the case of Gorman Heritage Farm cancelling the program
