NYSPA is the only multi-disciplinary perinatal health organization in New York. We are a state-wide alliance of health and human service professionals concerned with perinatal health issues from preconception through early childhood. We advocate for optimal perinatal care and parenting and promote education and research, strive to influence state priorities and encourage a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary approach to maternal and child health with the goal of reducing maternal and infant mortality and morbidity.

<h2>NYSPA Lunch and Learn ~ April 23rd, 12:00-1:00pm ~ Navigating Breech Deliveries </h2>Speaker: Courtney Olson-Chen, MD, MSCI, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She is a member of a team of providers supporting an evidence-based shared decision-making approach to breech deliveries.Overview of Presentation: Topics to be discussed include diagnosis of breech presentation, options for management breech presentation, external cephalic version procedure &amp; risks, recommended criteria for breech delivery, risks of breech delivery, shared decision-making surrounding mode of delivery, use of a decision aid tool, and intrapartum and delivery management for breech presentation.
