Woodturning: Candle Holders with Hanna Dausch
Learn the basics of woodturning by making your own taper candle holders!
3-Hour Workshop
Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026
Time: 10am–1pm
Description: In this morning workshop, students will learn how to turn a taper candleholder on the lathe. Students will learn how to safely use the lathe in addition to becoming acquainted with the woodshop and basic safety procedures. Each student will go home with a turned taper candleholder, complete with a brass insert and a candle ready to burn!

Tuition: $80 + $20 materials fee
Materials: All materials will be provided.
Location: Contemporary Craft Timmons Studios (5688 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201)
Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded by check, to your credit card, or Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist
"I am Hanna Dausch and I run a small woodworking studio in Pittsburgh, PA called Han Studio. I handcraft furniture and wares made to become a part of your family’s home and story. Pieces designed to be loved and used, to hold memories and tell stories, to bring warmth to your home."
