In this virtual showcase, we will have a panel of community solar experts who will share what community solar is and current community solar programs available in Oregon. They will discuss how community solar projects are developed, how to find community solar projects, and how you can get involved.


Speakers:

David Saenz (he/him), Program Coordinator: Community Solar, Community Energy Project

David Saenz is the Community Solar Coordinator supporting low income households transitioning to solar powered energy through the Community Solar Program. He works closely with project managers & subscription managers, Energy Trust Oregon and other business affiliates to promote and expand renewable energy services to low-income communities.


Cassandra Martin (she/her), Project Manager, Renewables, Bonneville Environmental Foundation

Cassandra Martin is a Project Manager on the Renewables Team at BEF. Her work focuses on creating access to solar and renewable energy for low-income communities in the Pacific Northwest, which includes partnering with affordable housing providers, tribes, utilities, businesses, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to develop projects.


Tatiana Siegenthaler-Rodriguez (she/her), Builds Program Manager, Verde

Tatiana Siegenthaler-Rodríguez is the Program Manager for Verde Builds at Verde where she leads the development and implementation of community-centered clean energy projects. She brings over 11 years of experience in project and program management across clean energy, energy efficiency, and nonprofit initiatives, including work with programs funded by the Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF). Since joining Verde in September 2024, she has led the coordination and delivery of more than 550 heat pump installations across Portland, ensuring strong project management, quality assurance, and community-centered outcomes. Tatiana also brings hands-on experience from the solar industry as the former co-owner of a solar and electrical company in Belize, where she oversaw the design and installation of residential and commercial solar systems. Her combined experience in energy efficiency, solar development, and nonprofit program management allows her to bridge technical, administrative, and community engagement aspects of clean energy projects while advancing equitable access to clean energy solutions for local communities.
