90th Birthday Celebration for The Astra Theatre

Join us to celebrate the 90th birthday of The Astra Theatre.

On April 17th, 1936, the Astra Theatre opened its doors for the very first time, screening The Unguarded Hour — an MGM crime drama. Ninety years later to the day, we're throwing a celebration with live music!

Order of Events (Eastern time)

• 6:00 PM — Doors & concessions open (cash bar)
• 6:15 PM — Historic Theatre and Renovated Green Room Tours
• 7:30 PM — Live 90's Pop Classics by The Unguarded Hour, a band of local musicians named in honor of the film that started it all
• 8:45 PM — Live 90's Rock by Star69

Tickets

• Invite guests: Use your code at checkout to reserve your tickets. Must RSVP by March 31st.
• Season ticket holders: Your tickets will be emailed to you automatically — no action needed.
• Limited tickets available to the public starting on April 1st

The historic Astra Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Indiana. Renovated in 2018, the Astra features 357 seats across main level and balcony seating. Parking is available throughout Downtown Jasper.
