Branch Out Community Forestry Tree Giveaway

Join us at the Community Center at 100 Wulfsohn Road for a day of giving back to our community and the environment in Celebration of Earth Week and Arbor Day. We'll be handing out free trees* to help beautify our our community and make it better place to live.

Qualifications and requirements:

1. ) You MUST register for this event to receive a free tree.

2.) You MUST be a City of Glenwood Springs resident.

3.) You MUST plant the tree within the City of Glenwood Springs city limits. If you aren't sure if you are within city limits, you can check the community forestry tree map. The option to see city boundaries are at the bottom of the legend.

4.) You MUST work with a city arborist to select the right tree species and the right place on your property. This should be done before you pick up the tree. After registering for the event, an arborist will reach out to you at the contact phone number you provide. If you do not hear back from an arborist within 2 weeks of registering for the event, please send an email tree.hotline@cogs.us. Check out the available trees list. Trees are first come, first served--and calls will be made to those who register in order of submission.

5.) You MUST plant your tree using best planting practices. Please see this very thorough planting guide from the Colorado State Forest Service for step-by-step instructions to help you tree through the process of transplanting!

*Trees are limited to ONE per HOUSEHOLD in order to spread the love as much as possible. If you received a free tree last year, you will automatically be placed on the waitlist. If we do not have enough new registrants by the week of the event, you will then be eligible to receive another free tree.
