Gardening with Children

Gardening with young children is a holistic activity that provides opportunities for hands on learning and integration of all curriculum areas, such as science, math, social emotional development, literacy and social studies. During this workshop participants will discuss the lifelong benefits of gardening with children, what children learn with gardening, and practice facilitating the start of a garden with materials provided by Brightside Up. Participant will be able to bring ideas back to their program for implementing gardening with children.
