Overview

Join us on Friday, April 17, at the Cooper Hotel to learn about how Dallas College is integrating AI...

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming education and the workforce, and Dallas College is at the forefront, designing curriculum and strengthening industry connections as AI reshapes our economy. This panel explores how Dallas College is integrating AI into the student experience, upskilling faculty through partnerships with industry leaders like Google, and preparing graduates — from construction trades to future educators — for an AI-driven economy. Learn how innovation, investment, and workforce alignment are shaping the future of education.

Hear from:

  • Dr. Shawnda Floyd, Provost & Vice Chancellor of Workforce Education at Dallas College, where she focuses on promoting positive student experiences, supporting teaching excellence, and fostering strong partnerships. She impacts students directly through initiatives like guided workforce pathways, improving their success, access to education, and the ability to achieve personal and professional goals.
  • Dr. Pamela Luckett-Smith, Chief Digital Engagement Officer at Dallas College, where she serves as a thought partner, resolving problems through digital solutions and implementing emerging technologies. She is at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into education and organizational strategy.
  • Josh Skolnick, Executive Director at Dallas College Foundation, where he channels the power of philanthropy to lift Dallas College and its students to new heights of innovation, excellence, and equity. He utilizes his passion for storytelling, project development, and collaboration.
