ESTERO brings together Sonoma County natives Eric Lindell and John Courage in a powerful new collaboration that blends roots music with a vibrant Psychedelic California Soul sound. After years of honing their musical voices independently, the two artists join forces in a project where their styles meet in natural and exciting synergy.

Eric Lindell is widely recognized as one of the most distinctive voices in modern American roots music. With his raspy, soulful voice and memorable songwriting, Lindell blends West Coast rock, Gulf Coast R&B, honky-tonk country, and Memphis soul into a sound that feels both fresh and timeless. Over the past two decades he has earned national acclaim and a devoted fan base through relentless touring, electrifying live shows, and appearances on national radio and television. Critics have praised his work as “a tremendous raw talent with a poet’s soul” (Chicago Sun-Times) and “stellar blue-eyed soul and romping New Orleans R&B” (New Orleans Times-Picayune).

John Courage is a gifted songwriter, guitarist, and producer who has spent more than a decade shaping his craft across the music communities of Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and Santa Fe. Drawing inspiration from vintage rock and the Texas singer-songwriter tradition of the 1970s, Courage creates music that feels both classic and urgent. With four self-produced albums and extensive touring experience, he now also works as a producer at Gremlintone Studios, where he focuses on analog-based live recording.

Together in ESTERO, Lindell and Courage deliver a rich blend of soulful grooves, inventive songwriting, and expansive musical exploration, creating a live performance that is both deeply rooted and boldly original.
