She is a Japanese tea master and big brush calligraphy artist. If you've never experienced a tea ceremony, you must. If you've never drawn a very large piece of art using Zen techniques, you should try. If your vacation to Japan is far away, Mochi can bring the soul of Japan to you. Catch Mochi during her East Coast tour as she visits Baltimore, New York, and D.C., just in time for the iconic D.C. Cherry Blossom season!This special series brings together the tranquil beauty of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with the expressive power of Zen-inspired big brush calligraphy. Join us for a moment of meditation, incense, and matcha, followed by a unique opportunity to create a one-stroke masterpiece on fine washi paper. Whether you're seeking inner peace or a creative outlet, Mochi's workshops offer a truly unforgettable cultural journey right here in the city. Guests will take home their original artwork. Venue will have additional Japanese snacks and a variety of beverages, and Japanese merch to purchase while you wait, before or after your time slot.
