The NYC Fair Trade Coalition is a grassroots organization that promotes fair trade businesses and retailers in New York City and educates consumers on the importance of fair trade.It partners with ethically-aligned businesses, retailers, NGOs, and citizens in New York City to host events and engage the public in dialogue. Power &amp; Fashion: Clothing Swap &amp; Book Launch Citizen’s Committee for New York City (HeyGround Harlem by Communitas) Saturday, April 11 | 12:00–4:00 PMJoin us for the launch of Guided By Power, the first issue in the Guided By magazine series exploring power, materiality, community, and future thinking.The afternoon will begin with a community clothing swap—an opportunity to rethink our relationship with fashion, consumption, and value. Participants are invited to bring lightly used clothing items and swap them for something new-to-you.Donating clothing is free.
