Eye Opener Discovery Breakfast
Wednesday | April 8
7:30 AM
UF Hilton | Shula's Private Dining Room
We are delighted to welcome Dr. J. Bryan Unruh, Professor of Agronomy at the University of Florida, IFAS, and a leading authority on golf course management and environmental stewardship. Golf courses may be known for recreation, but their management intersects closely with water quality, nutrient stewardship, and sustainable land use. Dr. Unruh developed the national golf course Best Management Practices (BMP) initiative, which led to science-based BMP manuals for golf facilities in all 50 states. Through his work at UF, he continues to advance research and Extension programs that help golf courses protect natural resources while maintaining high-quality playing conditions. He is also currently involved in the development of the new University of Florida Golf Course, where many of these principles are being applied in practice. Join us to learn how science and stewardship are shaping the future of golf course management.
