Overview

Friends of Lincoln Library Annual Meeting and Appreciation Event

This year's Annual Meeting and Appreciation Event will begin with a social hour of raffles and refreshments, followed by a highly anticipated talk with Ty Gagne, author of The Last Traverse, Where You'll find Me, and The Lions of Winter. Listen as he brings powerful insights from the mountains to everyday life. You don't want to miss this event, so stay tuned on how to reserve your seat.

The mountains teach.

For my entire life, I’ve called New Hampshire home. My experiences in the White Mountains and my love of mountaineering literature have played a significant role in my education. Both have taught me important lessons about decision-making, leadership, risk-taking-and humility. My professional work in risk management has allowed me to put these lessons to use on an almost daily basis.

Several years ago, I decided to take things a step further by writing about real-life events that demonstrate the value of learning and heeding what the mountains have to teach us. In my writing and my talks with individuals, groups, and organizations, I also share my own encounters with decision-making challenges in hopes of helping others assess and reflect on the experiences they themselves have had at home, at work, or in high places.
