Join us for the 1st Annual Gullah/Geechee Books & Brunch at the Lowcountry Outreach Center on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Join us for the first annual "Gullah/Geechee Books & Brunch" at the Lowcountry Outreach Center on Lady's Island, SC. The event will feature Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation, author and great great grandson of Gullah Statesman, Robert Smalls, Michael Boulware Moore, professor and Gullah/Geechee legacy farmer, Dr. Najmah Thomas, Gullah/Geechee artist, Zavia Jenkins and Gullah artist and author, Quadré Stuckey. They will each share from their works while engaging in a Gullah/Geechee brunch.
This event will raise funds for the Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy Fund and the Lowcountry Outreach Center.
