COMPULSIVE ARCHIVE x Milano Art Week 2026
A rare opportunity to visit the archive curated by Giulia Vallicelli during Milano Art Week 2026.
Compulsive Archive is a long-term archival project based in Milan, Italy, dedicated to the research, preservation and public dissemination of lesser-known strands of punk publishing, with a specific focus on feminist and queer fanzines produced between the 1990s and 2000s. Its core collection comprises hundreds of books, records, fetishes, bulletins, printed letters and early emails, which are regularly activated through public programs such as talks, publications, exhibitions, artistic residencies and reading sessions.
Conceived as a living archive – not only a device for narrating the past but also a critical framework through which to interrogate the present – Compulsive Archive is currently accepting submissions for research residencies open to emerging artists and cultural practitioners.
Within the framework of Milano Art Week 2026 (April 13–19), founder Giulia Vallicelli will present and comment on a curated selection of punk fanzines, books and ephemera from the archive, offering participants the opportunity to engage with these materials within a research-oriented framework.
