Clementine Carter Winery, then names Casa Dumetz, started in 2004 with a patch of raw earth, a bucket of grapevines and plenty of sweat from family and friends who joined to embark on the extraordinary. From this work emerged a commitment to produce authentic, handcrafted wines emblematic of the vintage, earth and effort. Clementine Carter elevates cool climate Rhône varieties grown in Santa Barbara Wine Country. Owner and winemaker Sonja Magdevski loves Rhône varietals, especially Grenache and Mourvèdre, and her approach of light-handed, terroir-driven winemaking allows these grapes to shine with elegant, food-friendly styles.
