Meet your instructors!

Amanda : Pronouns - they/she

Amanda is a community-builder and creative with a penchant for plants. In their work with Revive the Roots and Nuts and Bolts Nursery Co-op, they focus on propagating edible perennials and cultivating ecological relationships.

Tyler : Pronouns - he/they

Tyler is a professional botanist who specializes in fruit and nut trees, integrated pest management and plant propagation. Special expertise in floriculture and chestnut trees. Passionate advocate for local agriculture.

Bradford : Pronouns - they/them

Throughout the years, Revive the Roots has been a place for Bradford to practice their passion of caring for and learning about plants and the natural systems they are a part of. As a first-time instructor, they invite you to explore what it means to be a part of your surrounding ecology in a meaningful way.

“Rehabilitating habitats and local ecology through native perennial plantings and invasive management has been a joy and at times a struggle. Watching the environment heal itself, with a little educated input and guidance, is really rewarding and feels like being part of a never-ending performative art piece where you are both the creator and the observer."
